More events, less work: Now we update the calendar with AI help
We’re taking the next step to simplify the everyday tasks for organizers, while at the same time offering readers a better event selection.
Many organizers already publish their events on their own websites or calendar pages. Yet it has required double work to have everything in a unified digital calendar — until now.
What’s new?
We are launching an AI-powered solution that automatically fetches and updates events from the organizers’ own sites. This means:
- Less administrative work - organizers only need to update where they already are active.
- Better coverage - more events are automatically added to the calendar.
- Continuous updates - fetching happens once a day, year-round.
- The new fetching process tracks changes: if you modify event details, we update them too.
This is particularly good news for organizers who have so far only posted individual events on Facebook - and for everyone choosing to move away from Meta entirely. Our new solution makes it easier to stay in-sync - without relying on Facebook.
